Public Areas

The Recreation and Information Room

The Recreation and Information Room is located half-way down the garden. There is a step up to it at the entrance. It is equipped with a ping-pong table, a small snooker table, table football and a wide variety of DVDs and books to borrow, which, naturally must be returned before your departure particularly as some form part of box sets.

The Garden

There is a low gate leading from the driveway into a large communal garden. There are two patio areas outside the Recreation and Information Room with tables and seating. There is stone paving in front of the farmhouse which is a little uneven. There is a wooden play area at the bottom of the garden for children under the age of 12.

Holiday Cottages

Entrances

All entrances except one, lead directly into the lounge/dining areas. Maple cottage has a porch with coat and shoe rack, leading to the lounge.

Ground Floor of Cottages

In all cottages there is a living/dining area in one main room downstairs. In three cottages the kitchen is separate leading off the main room and in Foxglove cottage there is a step down to the kitchen, but in Maple cottage there is a kitchenette within the living/dining room. Maple also has an upstairs bathroom whilst the others have the bathroom/toilet leading off the main room. Foxglove Cottage again has a step down to the bathroom.

Kitchens

The kitchens vary in size with Foxglove and Maple being very spacious and the other two smaller. Fridges and washer/dryers are located under the worktops, which are standard height, and there is a combination of wall cupboards and under worktop cupboard space. Lighting is by strip light along the centre of the room. Maple has a laminate floor, whereas the others have ceramic tiles.

Upstairs in the cottages

All cottages have a small landing at the top of the stairs, leading to two bedrooms.

Bedrooms

The main bedrooms have a double bed in the centre of the room with bedside tables and lamps on each side. Flooring is a short-pile carpet and there are moveable chest of drawers and mirrors as well as a fixed cupboard in each.
The second bedrooms all have standard size single beds. In Maple cottage, these are at either end of the room and are not moveable, but in all other cottages the beds can be put together or separated according to requirements. Bedding is fitted sheets and non-feather winter/summer duvets according to the season.

Bathrooms

All bathrooms have an electric power shower over the bath, a basin and toilet. There are no separate additional toilets. There is a single, non-heated towel rail and a hook on the back of the door. The floors in the downstairs bathrooms are tiled and may become slippery when wet.

Additional information

An information folder is placed on the coffee table in the lounge for easy reference.

We accept well-behaved pets, provided they have their own bedding.

All cottages by design have low beams on their ceilings upon which visitors could easily bump their heads. These buildings are listed and therefore cannot be structurally altered. Please be aware of this danger.
